Network-level abuse control

The firewall module applies IP and sender-based policies at the SMTP connection layer. CIDR blacklist and whitelist support enables flexible rules from single IPs to /24 blocks. Abuse Radar monitors suspicious traffic patterns and enables rapid response when needed.

Ban options

  • Permanent ban
  • Timed bans: 1 day, 48 hours, 1 week, 1 month
  • Sender blacklist — envelope-from or header-from based
  • Whitelist to protect trusted sources

Operational visibility

Blacklist hit counters, last hit time and last hit IP enable transparent abuse operations. Firewall logs are archived and quick sender blocks can be made from NOC screens. Emergency Outbound Lockdown can temporarily halt all outbound traffic during sudden outbound spam waves.
